Water is one of the most important elements on the Earth, contributing to the circulatory system of the world. The well-known 3-D works of the Stodola Szumiłowo Art Gallery: "Incubator of the Forest Culture", "Birth of the Brick", "Water Hourglass" by Janusz Plota, or "Panic" and "Eco 22 Tree" by Wojciech Sęczawa, they were created from water in a way. The gallery, being already recognizable in the country for its in situ activities, is interwoven into the historical landscape of Radzyń Chełmiński, where the magnificent monuments of the St. Anna Church and the Teutonic Castle proudly spread their magic power of endurance. Springs, rivers, swamps, lakes, and forests attracted the first settlers, monks, craftsmen and knights. The traces of cultural values are still reflected in the life-giving mirror-like waters of the Radzyń praxis.

The energy of life is an everlasting theme interpreted in different ways by artists from all over the world. Water is life and revival, sensation and sensitivity, but also damage and expiry, monotony and hollowness.

The 2018 project focuses on water – water power, contrasting previous editions related to art set in forest or field environments. Water element, both title and topic, is for us as organizers, just a pretext to create artworks inspired by the immense power of the nature. We assume that artists live even near the Stodola Szumiłowo Art Gallery, artists who want to show to the local community their fascination with creating, arts and nature, revealed  in their thoughts, ideas, projects and performances.
