The Contest for a 3D work design 2026
Galeria Stodoła Szumiłowo announces a contest for a 3D work design during Ecoart 2026 Art Festival TERRITORIES WITHOUT BORDERS.
The Eco-art 2026 Art Festival is an interdisciplinary project. It is open for participation to every adult artist, representing any form of artistic activity. Organizers expect designs directly or indirectly referring to the tradition of the Chełmno Land; they shall also specify a place and a role of present-day humans in the world of nature.
Every participant of the contest will be asked to present a 3D work design, resistant to outdoor weather conditions. Modern technologies help a lot with this. We invite artists from various cultures to the EkoArt festival, which is why the festival's slogan is universal and clear to everyone. The festival concept does not limit artists' means of communication - the freedom of materials and production technology gives artists unlimited possibilities.
"TERRITORIES WITHOUT BORDERS" also draws on the experiences of previous editions of the EKOART Festival. The emerging Sculpture Park is a kind of "station" in the landscape, where art creates not dividing lines but bridges between forest, field, and garden. Artists from around the world are invited to participate in the event, creating forms that live and endure in space – in the rhythm of weather and seasons – and to discuss responsibility for the shared space we co-create.
Artists can interpret the Festival's theme symbolically or literally. The resulting objects may contain luminous, light-reflecting, light-concentrating or light-emitting, phosphorescent or luminescent elements. The works may also symbolically refer to the idea of light in its various interpretations and aspects.
